4 weeks ago 0

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have decided to sell their Los Angeles home. The celebrity couple placed their Brentwood property on the market with an asking price of $10.5 million. They have partnered with listing agent Cindy Ambuehl of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California for this sale.

Their home, originally built in 2006, offers 7,318 square feet of living space. It contains five bedrooms and six bathrooms, along with common areas that include a chef’s kitchen featuring a breakfast nook, a dining room, and a living room designed for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Additionally, the property includes a dedicated office and a bonus room used as a playroom for their children.

Outside, the property boosts beautiful landscaping, a resort-style swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, and several lounge areas, providing a perfect setting for entertainment and relaxation.

Gellar and Prinze Jr. met on the set of the 1997 film ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ and began dating in 2000. The couple got engaged in April 2001 after a year of dating, and they married in 2002. They recently celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary in September 2025.

In a March 2026 interview with People magazine, Gellar shared her secret to a lasting marriage: “One bedroom, two bathrooms. There just has to be another bathroom available.” The dining room accommodates a table for ten, and the spacious living room features a fireplace and access to the backyard.

Gellar stepped away from acting for almost a decade. Discussing this in a recent People interview, she explained her decision was influenced by a need to reevaluate life after major events, including the passing of Robin Williams and the birth of her second child. Her career took off when she starred in ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and continued with roles in ‘Cruel Intentions,’ ‘Scooby-Doo,’ and more.

Gellar made her acting return with the 2022 Netflix film ‘Do Revenge.’ She also appeared in ‘Wolf Pack,’ ‘Dexter: Original Sin,’ and ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.’

Fans were excited by the announcement of a ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ reboot in February 2025. Directed by Academy Award-winner Chloé Zhao, the new series was to feature Gellar in a mentoring role. However, Hulu shelved the reboot in March 2026, as she revealed the challenges faced, including having an executive who openly admitted not being a fan of the original series.
