The Buffalo Bills showcased their offensive prowess in Week 2, securing a 41-31 victory over the Detroit Lions during “Thursday Night Football.” The team scored six touchdowns, although wide receiver DJ Moore’s injury became a focal point. Moore injured his shoulder in the second quarter while attempting a touchdown catch.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Moore was sidelined due to the injury. He did not catch any passes in the game but had one rushing attempt that lost a yard. In Week 1, Moore made an impressive debut, catching five passes for 100 yards and a touchdown, contributing to the Bills’ 36-21 triumph over the Houston Texans. The Bills had acquired Moore from the Chicago Bears during the offseason in exchange for a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick.
After the game, head coach Joe Brady praised Moore’s ability, highlighting why the trade was worthwhile. Brady remarked, “There’s a reason we brought him here. His ability to make plays down the field is unmatched. Even a pass interference call, which doesn’t show up on stats, is an added bonus. DJ showed what a valuable player he is, alongside other key players like Dalton Kincaid.” Brady was satisfied with his performance and noted the trust quarterback Josh Allen has in his receivers will benefit the entire team.
With Moore out of action, Allen relied on Kincaid, who emerged as the leading receiver with seven receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. Keon Coleman made a notable contribution with six receptions for 63 yards, and Joshua Palmer caught a 43-yard touchdown.
