Cruise Passenger Accused of Assaulting Children Aboard Carnival Ship

An allegedly intoxicated passenger on a Carnival cruise ship has been accused of assaulting two children. David Lawrence Crosby II, age 44, from Surrency, Georgia, faces charges after an incident on July 26 aboard the Carnival Glory. The ship typically sails from Port Canaveral, Florida, to the Bahamas.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office records state Crosby was arrested on July 27 for two counts of child abuse. He allegedly encountered three children playing tag in a hallway and struck one child in the face, causing injuries. He also reportedly hit another child in the stomach. Security cameras captured the incident.

Crosby, upon his arrest, informed officers he was heavily intoxicated and did not recall the event. Carnival Cruise Line stated that their security team responded immediately.

“Our security team responded immediately to an incident involving an intoxicated guest aboard Carnival Glory on July 26,” a Carnival spokesperson said.

Carnival confined Crosby to his cabin for the trip’s remainder, referred the case to local law enforcement upon arrival at Port Canaveral, charged a conduct violation fee, and added Crosby to their Do Not Sail list. They emphasized their zero-tolerance policy for such behavior.

Crosby posted a $20,000 bond—$10,000 per charge—and was released from jail on Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty in court and awaits arraignment on August 25.

Carnival Glory is docked in Cozumel, Mexico, as per recent images. Carnival has not provided further information on the incident. Fox News reached out to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and related parties for comment.

The business tied to Crosby remained closed, citing a family emergency.
