ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky shared the tragic news of his brother-in-law, Federico Lascano, passing suddenly at 43. Lascano was married to Orlovsky’s sister, Christine. Orlovsky described the loss as an ‘unimaginable tragedy’ in a social media post where he introduced a GoFundMe campaign to support his sister.
Losing a husband, partner, and father so suddenly brings indescribable heartbreak. Amid this devastating loss, my sister faces life as a single parent and sole provider, all while helping her children cope with their father’s death.
Orlovsky emphasized the emotional and financial challenges Christine faces. He stressed that no family should endure such heartbreak alongside financial worries. The GoFundMe campaign aims to cover daily living expenses, bills, groceries, and educational costs for Christine’s sons.
At publication, the GoFundMe raised over $84,000, supported by contributors like Andrew Whitworth, Diana Taurasi, Chris Mara, Jason McCourty, and Brian Flores. The couple had a long history together, having been in a relationship since college.
Orlovsky participated in ‘NFL Live’ on Wednesday, but details about Lascano’s cause of death remain unknown.
