51 minutes ago 0

After years of long workdays, Diane Farr finds joy and relaxation in the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys spending Sundays with friends, paddleboarding, e-biking, and soaking in the natural beauty of the area. Having left Los Angeles, Farr now lives in rural Washington.

In an interview, Farr explained her move after her children went to college. She no longer felt anchored to California and decided to invest in a home in Washington. The house is affordable compared to her Los Angeles home. Living by the water allows her to engage in outdoor activities like stand-up paddling.

Farr stars as Sharon Leone in the TV series “Fire Country,” filmed in Vancouver. Her character is a Cal Fire Division Chief and mother to Bode Leone. The show’s fifth season is set to premiere on October 9, 2026, on CBS and Paramount+.

“So I actually moved to rural Washington because I could buy this pretty house, and it wasn’t very expensive in comparison to living in LA for all those years.” — Diane Farr

Her relocation felt permissible as her children left for college. This shift marked a new beginning for Farr, who had spent 15 years tied to Los Angeles during her children’s early years.

Farr’s “third act” involves maximizing joy. She aims to split her time between Vancouver and Spain. This period of her life focuses on pursuing happiness and living fully.

Farr shared her departure from Los Angeles on Instagram after living there for 30 years. Her time in Hollywood began at age 26, chasing a dream that ultimately became a reality. Despite her move, she cherishes her memories and experiences in Los Angeles.

Initially gaining recognition in “Roswell” in 1999, Farr also starred in “Numb3rs” and “Splitting Up Together” before “Fire Country.” Her journey in LA included raising her family and enjoying a fulfilling career.

Farr has three children with her ex-husband Seung Yong Chung: Beckett, 18, and twin daughters Coco and Sawyer, 17.

Looking ahead, fans of “Fire Country” can expect new dynamics for Sharon. After grieving last season, the character explores a more adventurous side, leading to unforeseen challenges.
