Donna Mills, renowned for her role in “Knots Landing,” faced significant consequences for her refusal to pose nude for Playboy magazine. The 85-year-old actress had been slated for a cover appearance, which did not materialize after she declined to bare it all.
“I was supposed to be on the cover, and they didn’t put me on the cover because I didn’t show anything. And that pissed me off,” Mills remarked, highlighting her frustration with the situation.
Mills shared her experience exclusively with Fox News Digital, explaining that her agreement to participate was contingent on her condition that nudity was not required. Despite assurances, the atmosphere during the shoot was tense, with continual pressure from the photographer attempting to encourage her to “move that sheet down a little bit,” Mills said. She emphasized that her publicist and hairdresser were instrumental in maintaining her boundaries, ensuring that the final photos remained free of any nudity.
Though nudity was absent, Mills asserted the photos were provocative. As she ventures into OnlyFans, a subscription platform, she plans to release these previously unseen images.
Mills, unfamiliar with OnlyFans until recently, was surprised to learn about its adult site reputation. Upon being approached by the company, Mills was impressed by their flexibility, allowing content creators to dictate the scope of content.
“You do what you’re comfortable with,” Mills recounted, expressing her appreciation for the freedom offered.
Joining OnlyFans opened new avenues for her to connect with fans, those who have supported her throughout her career.
“At my age, it’s like a whole new life is opening up,” Mills commented, underscoring the sense of novelty and opportunity she perceives.
Mills assured her audience that her long-standing personal boundaries will remain intact. She characterized her upcoming OnlyFans content as “spicy,” a signature trait of her career, without crossing lines she’s never wanted to cross.
Her decision to join OnlyFans was met with enthusiastic support from her family. Mills recounted that her daughter encouraged her, expressing confidence that Mills wouldn’t engage in anything embarrassing.
Her spouse echoed similar support, granting her the autonomy to pursue her choices. Mills reflects that participating in OnlyFans serves as a testament to the vibrant potential of later-life experiences.
Mills views her OnlyFans account as a platform to inspire others, particularly women, showcasing life’s possibilities beyond age limitations.
“I’d like to show people, and particularly women, that it doesn’t have to be over. It’s just a new chapter,” Mills emphasized.
Her portrayal of Abby Cunningham in “Knots Landing” catapulted her to fame, establishing her as one of television’s iconic soap opera villains. Mills imagines that Abby would endorse her latest OnlyFans venture, aligning with her tenacity and forward-thinking nature.
“She would say, ‘Go, girl!’ Without a doubt,” Mills affirmed, confident that Abby would support anything advantageous.
