Police in Georgia have charged 18-year-old Kingston Lammar Bradley with malice murder following a gruesome discovery. Authorities found trash bags containing dismembered remains in the trunk of Bradley’s car.
Witnesses observed Bradley carrying a container within his apartment complex. Upon realizing he was seen, he abandoned the container and fled to his apartment, according to Smyrna Police Lt. Meredith Holt. The witnesses later contacted police, having found human remains inside the container.
Previous Police visits
Prior to this incident, police visited Bradley’s home when the family of a missing woman reported her car and phone were located at his residence. Despite the report, a search warrant was not executed.
Once witnesses discovered the remains, police obtained a search warrant for Bradley’s vehicle. Inside, they found a garbage bag displaying the outline of a body part, as noted in a news release.
Identity Confirmation
The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed the presence of human remains in the bags. Smyrna Police Chief Keith Zgonc identified the victim as Shanteria “KT” Mosley, who was reported missing.
Lt. Holt confirmed Mosley was employed by DoorDash. The company informed police that Mosley was not working on the day she went missing. Her account last showed activity on Tuesday.
Investigative Progress
Police have yet to determine any connection between Bradley and the victim. Holt expressed the severity of the crime during a news conference, highlighting her extensive experience in law enforcement and homicide cases.
Investigators are actively searching for additional human remains. Bradley faces additional charges for concealing a death.
Bradley has made several past appearances to law enforcement for domestic disputes, although none indicated the potential for such violent crime.
Bradley appeared in court where his bail was denied. His subsequent court appearance is set for October.
Authorities, along with DoorDash, are expected to provide further comments on the situation.
