Illegal Immigrants Arrested in Indiana Sting Operation

1 hour ago 0

Four out of 11 alleged sex offenders apprehended during a police sting in Indiana are illegal immigrants from four different countries, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The individuals believed they were interacting with underage girls online and attempting to arrange meetings for sexual encounters. Instead, they were met by undercover officers.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has filed detainer requests for these suspects. The arrested individuals include Filomeno Ricardo Flores Marin, Lucky Philip Udoudo, David Josue Gomez-Posada, and El Hadji Babacar Ndiaye. The DHS identified them with specific backgrounds:

  • El Hadji Babacar Ndiaye is a citizen of Senegal who was apprehended and released at the southern border in September 2023 in Lukeville, Arizona.
  • Lucky Philip Udoudo is a Nigerian citizen who entered the U.S. as a “gotaway” at an unspecified time and place.
  • Filomeno Ricardo Flores Marin is a Mexican citizen who unlawfully entered the U.S. in Arizona in 2002.
  • David Josue Gomez-Posada is a Salvadoran citizen who entered the U.S. illegally as a juvenile in 2017.

ICE has expressed the importance of Indiana complying with immigration detainers. According to DHS, all claims by the suspects will be presented before an immigration judge, ensuring they receive due process. The current administration underscores adherence to the rule of law.

“We are calling on Indiana to honor our detainers,” said a DHS spokesperson to Fox News. “All of their claims will be heard by an immigration judge, and they will receive due process. This administration will not ignore the rule of law.”

Marin faces charges including two counts of sex offenses and one count each of molesting a minor and enticement for indecent purposes. His criminal history includes a 2019 arrest for stolen property and involvement in a DEA operation in Indiana. He was released on bond in March 2019.

Additional charges include:

  • Udoudo faces child solicitation and sexual misconduct with a minor.
  • Gomez-Posada is charged with child solicitation.
  • Ndiaye is charged with child solicitation.

The DHS spokesperson emphasized that under former President Trump and Secretary Mullin, legislative violations would result in consequences, stating illegal criminal aliens are unwelcome in the U.S.

DHS highlighted that seven of the ten safest cities cooperate with ICE. Collaborations with law enforcement are deemed essential for tackling crime involving illegal immigrants.

Citing examples, the agency noted 40,000 arrests in Florida and a two-week operation in West Virginia leading to the capture of 650 illegal immigrants.
