Investigating the Far-Left Influence Behind France’s Student Protests

1 hour ago 0

Fox News Digital has conducted an investigation into the recent student protests in France, uncovering a broader network of far-left communist and socialist organizations. This network utilizes tactics deployed over the past decade in the United States to amplify unrest and project an image of chaos.

BreakThrough News and its Role

BreakThrough News, a media outlet based in New York City, funded by Neville Roy Singham, a communist tech tycoon, reported on the protests, highlighting student strikes against austerity measures. However, the actual involvement goes beyond students demanding education reform.

Beyond France: The Transnational Network

The investigation revealed that from France to the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Greece, and India, well-funded adults are leveraging school protests to promote broader ideological confrontations. This network consists of 15 student or youth groups and 35 adult organizations, including labor unions, communist parties, and civil-rights groups.

“What we’re seeing here is the same Red-Green ecosystem that disrupts infrastructure choke holds in our country such as the Brooklyn Bridge, college campuses and congressional hearings,” said Mike Gonzalez, a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation.

France’s Historical Context

Historically, France has witnessed protests leading to political change, such as the fall of the Fourth Republic in 1958. The nation’s well-established communist parties and history of street violence lend gravity to the current unrest.

Political Involvement and Amplification

Far-left political parties like La France Insoumise are involved in organizing demonstrations. The protests have attracted activists waving communist flags and Palestinian scarves, advancing messages against capitalist and imperialist structures.

Global Support and Solidarity

Beyond France, support extends globally. BreakThrough News and other organizations in Singham’s network amplify these protests, presenting them as part of a global struggle against Western governments.

Groups in Greece and India have expressed solidarity with the student movement, suggesting that similar struggles may follow. The People’s Forum, a hub for communist organizing in the U.S., is a part of this transnational support network.

The Projection of Global Uprising

BreakThrough News shared footage of youth protests worldwide, framing them as evidence of a worldwide uprising. The portrayal manipulates local movements into foreshadowing broader struggles against capitalist growth.
