A 30-year-old woman, Ashley Andrews, was arrested after threatening Taco Bell employees in Chester, Maryland, according to the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff. The incident occurred on June 18, when Andrews expressed anger over the delay of her food order.

During the confrontation, witnesses reported that Andrews challenged the staff to step outside. She then lifted her shirt to reveal a handgun and placed her hand on the weapon’s grip. Employees alerted the authorities, leading to her arrest.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they detained Andrews and another person involved in a verbal dispute. Authorities found a loaded firearm on Andrews. Surveillance footage and employee recordings corroborated the employees’ accounts of the incident.

The confrontation took place at the Taco Bell located in Kent Town Market on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The sheriff’s office reported that Andrews was charged with second-degree assault, possession of a handgun, disorderly conduct, and reckless endangerment. She was also prohibited from entering the Taco Bell property again.

Court records indicate Andrews was held on a $5,000 bond but was released after posting bail the following day. She is represented by a public defender and has invoked her right to a speedy trial. A court appearance is set for July.
