Miles Teller has become a prominent figure with his role in “Top Gun: Maverick.” His career gained momentum following his performance in the 2014 film “Whiplash.” However, his portrayal of Rooster in the 2022 “Top Gun” sequel with Tom Cruise elevated his celebrity status further.
Teller’s presence on social media expanded when his wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller, shared videos of him on TikTok under the theme “TellerTok.” Born on February 20, 1987, in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, to parents Mike Teller and Merry Flowers, Teller’s first movie role was in “Rabbit Hole” in 2010.
Subsequent roles included a part in the “Footloose” remake as Willard and in “Project X” in 2012. In 2013, he co-starred in “The Spectacular Now” alongside Shailene Woodley. They became frequent collaborators and maintained their friendship over the years.
Teller then appeared in “21 & Over” before taking on the challenging role of a young drummer in “Whiplash,” acting opposite J.K. Simmons. In 2014, he featured in “That Awkward Moment” with Zac Efron and Michael B. Jordan.
His career path led him to the “Divergent” series, playing the unpredictable Peter. The trilogy, comprised of “Divergent,” “Insurgent,” and “Allegiant,” was based on novels by Veronica Roth and starred Theo James and Kate Winslet.
Between the “Divergent” films, he acted in “Two Night Stand” and “Fantastic Four.” In 2016, he appeared in “Get a Job,” “War Dogs,” and “Bleed for This,” followed by “Thank You for Your Service” and “Only the Brave” in 2017. He also took roles in TV series such as “Too Old to Die Young” and “The Offer.”
Teller’s major breakthrough came with “Top Gun: Maverick,” where he played Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, son of the original film’s Goose. The sequel earned over $1 billion globally. Talks of a third installment hinge on Tom Cruise, as Teller shared with Entertainment Tonight.
In his personal life, Teller has been married to Keleigh Sperry since 2019. Despite not having his own TikTok account, he remains popular thanks to the videos shared by Sperry, endearing himself to millions of fans.
