Police in Philadelphia have initiated a death investigation after discovering images and videos from a home that may depict the bodies of two missing women. These materials were found during a probe into Eugene Horsch, aged 44. His residence in Olney has been under investigation since June. Local reports confirm Horsch is detained due to charges involving firearms possession and fake DEA and FBI credentials. Currently, no additional charges have been filed against him.
On Wednesday, Inspector Ray Evers of the Philadelphia Police gave a briefing, revealing that a digital evidence review showed images and videos which likely feature two deceased women. The police identified the women as Maribel Fresses and Gabriella Amarando. Fresses has been missing since 2018 when she was 27, while Amarando vanished in 2012, at 22 years old.

Evers remarked. It’s real dark. What we saw is these two girls alive; there is a period of time, and what appears to us is that they are deceased.
Inspector Evers disclosed that over 95 search warrants have been executed on the property and its contents. The FBI is aiding in the investigation. Approximately 600,000 images and 70,000 videos have been seized from hard drives at the site.
He described the volume of digital evidence as astonishing and acknowledged, This investigation will take time.
He characterized the case as new territory for the Philadelphia homicide unit, noting, Usually, when we have a homicide investigation, we have a body. We have body parts. This time we do not.
