Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Plan Return to the UK with Children

2 hours ago 0

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle intend to move back to the United Kingdom with their two children, according to multiple reports. This comes six years after the couple stepped away from their royal duties and settled in California.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to relocate to a private residence outside London. Their children, Prince Archie, aged 7, and Princess Lilibet, aged 5, are set to begin attending a British school in September.

King Charles III has welcomed their decision. He looks forward to spending more time privately with the Sussex family. Prince William and Kate Middleton have also been informed of the move.

Despite their return, Harry and Meghan’s royal status will remain unchanged. They have no plans to resume their roles as working royals and will continue as private individuals.

Meghan Markle last visited the UK in September 2022 for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. The couple’s decision follows a July reunion with Charles, marking the first time he saw Archie and Lilibet in more than four years.

The couple left their royal duties in 2020 and settled in Montecito, California. Their relationship with the royal family became strained after public discussions of their grievances in interviews, a Netflix series, and Harry’s memoir, “Spare.” Harry has expressed a wish to reconcile with his family, although security concerns have been significant.

Previously, Harry faced a legal challenge over police protection for his family in the UK, citing safety concerns. Despite planning their return, experts emphasize that reconciliation does not imply a return to royal duties.
