Ravens Secure Win with Last-Minute Field Goal Against Cowboys

The Baltimore Ravens secured a thrilling victory on Sunday afternoon in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They defeated the Dallas Cowboys 34-31 with a decisive 56-yard field goal by Tyler Loop as the game clock ended.

Dallas initially took a 10-0 lead, but Baltimore countered with 17 consecutive points, leading 24-13 by the third quarter. The Cowboys’ Dak Prescott pushed back, bringing Dallas ahead 28-24 with a nine-yard touchdown by KaVontae Turpin. Ravens’ Lamar Jackson responded with a two-yard touchdown pass to rookie Matt Hibner, regaining the lead. Dallas later tied the score, paving the way for Loop’s game-winning kick.

Both teams showcased their talents, offering Brazil an exciting match. Derrick Henry stood out significantly in this eventful Ravens victory. With 89 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the first half, Henry surpassed Marcus Allen for the third-most career rushing touchdowns (135, including playoffs). Only Emmitt Smith (183) and LaDainian Tomlinson (151) rank higher. Additionally, Henry climbed to ninth on the NFL’s career rushing list, overtaking Eric Dickerson.

Currently in his 11th NFL season at age 32, Henry continues to defy expectations typically associated with physical, downhill runners of his size. Despite his three-week pace this season, he still competes as one of football’s top running backs. Henry has achieved 212 rushing yards and four touchdowns with an average of 5.3 yards per carry. He is on track for his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season, aiming for his eighth overall.

Emmitt Smith holds the record with 11 1,000-yard seasons. At 32, Henry still has time to challenge this milestone.
