Rep. Tom Emmer recently began a nationwide campaign to rally Republican voters. During a conversation with Fox News Digital, he shared his views on what he sees as an ‘anti-American’ sentiment within the Democratic Party. Emmer criticizes the influence of far-left candidates, referring to them as ‘communists, Marxists, and anarchists.’
Speaking from Maine where he campaigned for Republican House candidate Paul LePage, Emmer focused on Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. He mentioned that El-Sayed has made controversial statements, including critical remarks about American symbols such as the NFL.
The GOP’s mission is to celebrate and defend America’s values, and support candidates like Paul LePage who share these beliefs.
With early voting underway, Emmer acknowledges the challenges Republicans face in the midterms. Historically, the president’s party tends to lose seats during these elections. In addition, Republicans are addressing issues like high costs associated with grocery shopping and fuel, as well as the unpopularity of a conflict with Iran.
The Democratic Party faces its own hurdles, including internal conflicts and branding challenges. Fox News Digital inquired about Emmer’s message to Republican voters. He emphasized economic concerns, blaming the Biden administration for significant inflation. Emmer insists that the economy is improving under the leadership of Republicans.
