Rob Gronkowski Joins Voter Rally in New Hampshire

50 minutes ago 0

Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski participated in a voter rally organized by the conservative advocacy group Turning Point USA. He appeared in New Hampshire on Election Day alongside several Republican candidates. Among them was gubernatorial incumbent Kelly Ayotte at a polling location in Bedford and Henry Giasson, a Republican running for state representative, in Goffstown.

Boxing icons Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather, along with former Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola, joined the four-time Super Bowl champion in this last-minute campaign effort. This event aimed to boost voter turnout in the state.

Gronkowski, known for staying out of direct political endorsements during his career, emphasized his support for civic participation. He was seen waving an American flag, taking photographs, and signing campaign memorabilia.

A History of Keeping Politics Light—and Crashing the White House

Gronkowski generally avoids overt political endorsements. His visit to President Donald Trump’s White House in April 2017 during the Patriots’ official visit highlighted this. During a live news conference, he humorously peeked into the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room, asking, “Need some help?” This moment drew laughter from the press.

Though Gronkowski has faced questions about his political views, he consistently supports non-partisan civic activities such as voting and civic engagement. He stresses the role of sports in uniting people across political divides.

The Granite State Get-Out-The-Vote Drive

Gronkowski’s involvement in New Hampshire coincided with critical races for the U.S. Senate, Governor, and congressional seats. Reports noted that Turning Point Action organizers set up tents and engaged with voters at multiple polling places, leveraging celebrity presence to increase turnout.

Gronkowski was seen with local Republican figures, including Kelly Ayotte in Bedford. He also signed campaign signs for candidates in Goffstown. Importantly, Gronkowski encouraged voters from all political backgrounds to cast their ballots.

On Election Day, other celebrities also encouraged voter participation. Jennifer Lawrence included her Hunger Games tribute with a voter message. Pedro Pascal shared a video urging people to “Just vote,” and Dave Bautista posted his Florida vote-by-mail ballot on social media.
