Three foldables are available: the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Flip8. Each targets different user preferences.

Market Trends and Implications
The decision to launch three foldables aligns with market growth projections. According to Counterpoint Research, foldable devices will see a 21% growth by 2026. Samsung’s market share is expected to change as Apple prepares to introduce its foldable iPhone.
Counterpoint forecasts that high-priced foldables will dominate future shipments. Samsung’s strategy includes capitalizing on consumers’ luxury preferences with its Ultra tier option.
Availability and Features
Pre-orders for the devices are open with general availability starting August 7. Customers receive a six-month Google AI Pro trial with cloud storage and updated Smart Switch features. Compatibility enhancements include Quick Share’s interaction with AirDrop.
The introduction of three models tests market dynamics. Each device caters to different user needs with distinctive features. As the foldable segment evolves, Samsung’s approach aims to retain leadership while acknowledging competitive pressures.
