The Double Life of Heather Boyd

6 hours ago 0

Heather Boyd lived a seemingly idyllic suburban life. She had a husband, four children, and a promising career. Yet, she harbored a secret. Boyd had an adult-content business that led to her losing a corporate job she had painstakingly built.

Boyd stars in TLC’s reality series “Double Lives of Suburban Wives.” The show portrays six couples from the St. Louis area balancing marriages, children, and conventional careers while creating adult content for income.

At 37, Boyd grappled with changes in her body after her last child. Her husband suggested they start an X account for fun. After a post quickly received over 1,000 likes, Boyd took control of the account.

“I was having fun posting it for free,” Boyd said.

Eventually, someone introduced her to an adult-content platform. Boyd, who was working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), saw potential in this opportunity. CNAs, as Boyd mentioned, work hard under poor compensation.

Her first attempt at a lingerie video brought in $100 rapidly. “That was shocking,” Boyd admitted. Her success peaked at approximately $5,000 during her best month.

Boyd and her husband kept their adult content business a secret from their children. They had a locked room at home where they produced content, telling their kids it was her office for corporate work.

“It always had to be locked,” Boyd explained, detailing how they maintained the illusion.

TLC describes them as a couple with both traditional and unconventional successes. Yet, Boyd starts to question if her life still suits her.

She has no regrets about joining the show, saying, “Doing the show is not something I regret. I am glad I did it.”

The series airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
