The rivalry between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers is one of the most intense in NFL history, stretching back over a century. Last season saw this rivalry extend into the postseason with three significant encounters.
During two of these games, Caleb Williams led the Bears to exhilarating victories, including a triumph in the playoffs as the NFC North champion and the second seed in the NFC. Unfortunately, for the Packers, Tucker Kraft, an essential player in their receiving group, missed these matches due to a torn ACL in November 2025.
Tucker Kraft shared his thoughts on playing against the Bears in the forthcoming season during an interview with Kay Adams on ‘Up & Adams with Kay Adams.’ He mentioned that the opponent is less important. However, he recognizes the rivalry’s intensity has increased recently.
“It doesn’t matter who the opponent is when I get the ball in my hands. I’m trying to stress the defense as much as I can, first and foremost. I want everyone to have to run to the ball to try to tackle me. My goal immediately is always make the first guy miss,” Kraft told Adams.
While Kraft admitted to having no NFC North team he dislikes more, he acknowledged the growing animosity with the Bears. He emphasized his readiness to exploit every chance on the field.
Kraft contributed significantly despite playing only eight games last season, ranking third among his team’s receivers with 489 yards and six touchdowns from 32 catches. His absence from crucial games against the Bears was felt. Particularly in a gripping NFC Wild Card Round in January at Chicago, Green Bay lost 31-27 despite Jordan Love’s impressive 323 yards and four touchdowns.
In that exciting matchup, the Packers initially dominated 21-6 through three quarters. Caleb Williams and the Bears surged in the last quarter, overpowering the Packers 25-6. Williams’s decisive pass to DJ Moore secured the winning touchdown, although Moore has since departed for the Buffalo Bills.
Looking ahead, opinions are optimistic about the Packers’ prospects against the Bears. With Kraft and other key players healthy, they might surpass the Bears this season.
The teams will first face off in Week 5, playing in Green Bay on Sunday, Oct. 11. The second encounter is scheduled in Chicago on Christmas Day, streamed on Netflix.
