Tom Cruise’s Dramatic Transformation for Upcoming Film ‘Digger’

Tom Cruise is undergoing one of the most significant changes in his acting career. Recently, Warner Bros. released the trailer for Alejandro Iñárritu’s film, Digger, showcasing Cruise in a never-before-seen role. The 64-year-old takes on the character of Digger Rockwell, an eccentric oil magnate whose risky choices threaten global catastrophe.

In the film, Cruise’s character is driven to prove himself as humanity’s savior before the disaster he created ruins everything. The trailer begins with Digger’s concern for his ailing cat, followed by a heated confrontation with an employee who proposes halting a massive project. This project poses the risk of an $18 trillion disaster, setting the framework for the film’s intense storyline.

Cruise’s appearance in the trailer is drastically altered, embodying the unpredictable billionaire. Fans took to social media to express their amazement at his transformation, with comments highlighting his changed look and enthusiasm for the film.

Digger is Cruise’s first lead role outside of his famous Top Gun and Mission: Impossible franchises in recent years. Directed by Oscar winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu, known for Birdman and The Revenant, the film premieres on October 2. Cruise introduced the trailer during a recent Q&A in Los Angeles, lauding the project and Iñárritu’s vision.
