Trump’s Patriotic Address at Mount Rushmore

President Donald Trump delivered a patriotic speech at Mount Rushmore on the eve of America’s 250th anniversary. He declared the United States the “most exceptional nation ever to exist” and vowed it would “never be a Communist country.”

Speaking below the granite faces of past leaders George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt, Trump celebrated American exceptionalism. The event was part of the nation’s anniversary celebrations across the country. “In all the chronicles of the ages, never before has any nation celebrated so magnificent a triumph as this one,” Trump told the assembled crowd.

Trump emphasized America’s unique status, calling it the oldest republic and highlighting its freedoms and Constitution. “At 250 years, America is the oldest republic on earth,” he continued. “We are the freest people on earth. We have the most righteous and enduring Constitution on earth. We are the strongest and most powerful country on earth,” he said.

“And by the grace of God, the United States of America is the most successful, most accomplished, most exceptional nation ever to exist in human history,” Trump declared.

He attributed the nation’s achievements to its history and argued no other country had done as much good for the world. “The birth and survival of the American nation under God is, quite simply, the best and most incredible thing ever to happen on this planet by human hands, ever,” he stated.

Before Trump’s speech, the new Air Force One flew over Mount Rushmore. Afterward, he viewed a fireworks display over the Black Hills. Trump addressed concerns about a growing communist movement he said threatened America’s “exceptional character” and attempted to disconnect from its history.

Trump labeled communism as “the greatest threat” to the United States, comparing it to past major conflicts like both World Wars and 9/11. “It is the greatest threat to our country,” Trump said, “We are not going to let this happen to us.” He described communism as standing in opposition to American values of life, liberty, and happiness.

He urged Americans to choose between loyalty to Karl Marx or to America. “You can be a communist or you can be a patriot. You cannot be both,” he stated clearly.

Trump called on the nation to remember the sacrifices made by American ancestors, who defended the country in battles like Concord, Trenton, Gettysburg, Shiloh, Midway, and Normandy. He highlighted the four presidents immortalized in Mount Rushmore as symbols of the nation’s founding ideals.

“They were men of action, ambition, daring, destiny, and intelligence,” he said. “Above all, they were great men of history,” Trump emphasized.

Trump planned to deliver another speech celebrating America the following day on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. He concluded by expressing optimism about the nation’s future, stating, “This is only the beginning of the golden age of America.”
