1 hour ago 0

Von Miller, an eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion, has signed with the Dallas Cowboys for his 15th NFL season. Miller’s announcement came via a social media post where he shared a digitally altered image of himself in a Cowboys uniform, writing, “Dallas! Let’s make this one Special!”

A notable moment came when Demarcus Ware, a former teammate and fellow Broncos Super Bowl winner, shared a screenshot from a FaceTime call with Miller, expressing excitement for the newest addition to “#CowboysNation.”

Miller’s recent performance with the Washington Commanders included nine sacks and 26 tackles across 17 games, showcasing his enduring talent. He will soon challenge NFC East rivals as part of his homecoming to Texas, where his football journey began at DeSoto High School.

The Cowboys, currently in search of a skilled pass rusher after trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, aim to boost their defensive capabilities. Last season, their defense ranked in the lower third with 31 sacks and allowed the third-most yards and the highest points per game in the league.

Efforts to strengthen the defense have included acquisitions such as Rashan Gary, Otito Ogbonnia, and Dee Winters. Additionally, defensive coordinator Christian Parker will lead improvements, aspiring to limit opponents’ scoring. The Cowboys’ offense remained strong in 2025, ranking second in yards gained.

Miller’s potential impact is significant, given his previous successes and recent strong performance. As the Cowboys work to fill the void left by Parsons, Miller’s return to his home state might provide extra motivation for the seasoned defensive end.
