A sudden wind gust caused a metal cabana frame to collapse into a busy pool area at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday. This unexpected incident led to injuries for five people.

Incident Details

The mishap occurred at the DAER Club, an open-air venue at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Reports indicate that strong winds impacted the outdoor section, resulting in the partial collapse of the structure.

Five individuals were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening according to initial reports. Online videos captured scenes of guests and staff assisting those trapped under the metal frame, with many people attempting to lift sections of it before emergency personnel arrived.

Witness Accounts

A witness narrated the experience on social media, stating he had been near the location shortly before the accident occurred. He described being shocked at how close he was to danger, having moved away just moments before the structure fell.
