A 36-year-old man sustained stab wounds during a fight on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train in the Loop area, according to Chicago police.
The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday as the train was traveling in the 500 block of South LaSalle Street. The man engaged in a confrontation and was stabbed in both the neck and the left side of his body with a sharp object.
The individual responsible for the stabbing fled the scene. The injured man was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was reported to be in fair condition.
Police detectives are investigating the incident to identify and apprehend the suspect involved.
