Vice President JD Vance shared his experience on ABC’s show The View, noting that the interaction was not as intense as he expected. During his appearance, Vance promoted his new memoir, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.
He discussed various topics including affordability, the Epstein Files, immigration, and race. The show has previously been critical of Trump, leading Vance to anticipate a more severe critique.
“I expected them to be absolutely vicious, and they were only a little bit vicious. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be,”
Vance commented during his later appearance on Fox’s Gutfeld! on Tuesday. He also mentioned an unexpected compliment from co-host Joy Behar.
“Joy Behar even said during the break, not joking, said, ‘You know what? You’re, like, pretty good for a Republican.’ And I was like, ‘Whoa.’ That is a way better compliment than I expected from Joy Behar.”
