Former President Joe Biden found himself in an awkward situation during the dedication ceremony for the Barack Obama Presidential Library. The ceremony, held on Thursday, witnessed a moment where Biden momentarily drifted back toward the stage as the event concluded.
A video captured Biden lowering his sunglasses and scanning the crowd while his wife, Jill Biden, and Barack Obama exited, leaving him on stage. At one point, Biden audibly asked, “Where’s my granddaughter?” According to a source, Biden was searching for his granddaughter, who was seated among the audience.
Obama leading Biden off stage by the hand really angered Hunter Biden,a statement read in a recent report.
The dedication ceremony at the Obama Presidential Center in John Lewis Plaza, Chicago, marked an occasion attended by present and former politicians, including Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, and Kamala Harris, along with a range of entertainers and political figures. Barack Obama, who served as the 44th president from 2009 to 2017, was the first African American in the office.
This incident aligns with heightened scrutiny over Biden’s health and his decision to pursue a second term in 2024. During an event at New York’s 92nd Street Y, Hillary Clinton referred to Biden’s reelection attempt as a “terrible mistake,” suggesting Democrats would have been better positioned through a competitive primary before the 2024 election.
Clinton further expressed, Very sadly, whoever emerged from that contest, whether it was the vice president, a governor, or a senator, or anybody else, would have beaten Donald Trump. So I think it was a terrible miscalculation on the part of President Biden.
Biden experienced intense pressure from Democratic leaders to withdraw from the presidential race following a troublesome debate with Trump. Despite opinion pieces urging an exit, Biden remained in the race for over three weeks after the debate.
Jill Biden recently revealed concerns regarding her husband’s health, fearing a stroke after his debate performance in 2024. She suggested that continuing his re-election efforts was ill-advised.
Biden is also entangled in a legal struggle with the Justice Department over the release of audio from interviews with former Special Counsel Robert Hur. This investigation focused on Biden’s handling of classified documents and spurred additional queries about his age and memory.
In those recordings, Hur described the then-president as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” which ignited debate over Biden’s mental suitability for the presidency. Currently, Biden, aged 83, is contending with Stage 4 prostate cancer, which has spread to his bones.
