Highlights from the BET Awards 2026

The BET Awards celebrated outstanding achievements in Black entertainment, sports, and culture on Sunday, June 28, 2026. The event took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, featuring comedian Druski as the youngest host at 31 years old.

The evening included a living legend tribute to Lauryn Hill, during which Tanya Trotter performed. Lauryn Hill was honored with the living legend icon award, acknowledging her contributions to the music industry.

Teyana Taylor received the Icon of the Year award, marking another significant moment of the ceremony. Other notable award recipients included Cardi B, recognized as the best female hip hop artist, and Leon Thomas, who won the award for best male R&B/pop artist.
