A French model scout linked to Jeffrey Epstein has been discovered dead in his Paris home. Daniel Siad’s death was reported by Le Monde, revealing that the incident took place on Monday night. Siad was 69 years old.
An autopsy is anticipated to find the cause of Siad’s death. His attorney stated that anxiety over ongoing investigations into his connections with Epstein could have contributed to a heart attack if that were the cause.
The Department of Justice identified transactions showing Epstein paid substantial sums to Siad, who appeared extensively in their records. Through his fashion industry ties, Siad facilitated meetings between Epstein and aspiring models.
Epstein, notable for his associations with figures like former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump, died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial. French authorities began examining Siad in February for potential human trafficking and criminal conspiracy involvement, but found insufficient evidence to arrest him before his demise.
Two women reported to CNN that they were victimized by Epstein after being introduced by Siad, who insisted he was unaware of any complaints against Epstein by those he referred.
In a June interview, Siad expressed disbelief about Epstein’s criminal activities, stating his trust in the seemingly powerful financier. Siad acknowledged knowing about Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution, believing the issue had been resolved after Epstein’s release in 2009. Nevertheless, Siad maintained his relationship with Epstein post-release.
Additionally, Siad faced rape allegations from a model, dating back to the 1990s, which he denied.
