U.S. Threatens Further Strikes on Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued threats of additional military action against Iran. During a meeting with his Cabinet at Camp David, Trump expressed a determination to win the conflict with Iran and indicated continued military engagement. Trump stated the U.S. would strike Iran intensely until they relent. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized Tehran for violating a previous truce agreement with the U.S., involving attacks on commercial vessels and the deaths of American soldiers. She noted that the U.S. would maintain pressure until Iran engages meaningfully.

The U.S. State Department has issued new security alerts for Americans across 10 countries in the region due to rising tensions with Iran. Kuwaiti forces responded to drone attacks attributed to Iran. According to Maj. Gen. Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi of Kuwait’s Defense Ministry, drones targeted vital sites, including a government facility in the country’s north, with no casualties reported. Concurrently, the British Navy reported a tanker was hit by unexplained projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz, near Oman, although no casualties occurred. Additionally, satellite images displayed crude oil leaking from a sanctioned tanker grounded off Oman, near a protected marine area. Iran continues its aggressive stance against vessels moving through the Strait of Hormuz without approval.

Israel Strikes Gaza Following Hamas Disarmament Announcement

Intense Israeli airstrikes in Gaza resulted in at least four deaths and multiple injuries. These actions followed Hamas’ declaration to disarm, potentially ending ongoing conflicts in Gaza. Despite the announcement, many Palestinians remain skeptical, prioritizing basic needs such as food and medicine. The disarmament news is part of a U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal from October, which requires Hamas to relinquish power to an independent Palestinian administration and for Israel to withdraw.
