A tragic event unfolded in Twin Falls, Idaho, as a gunman opened fire outside an In-N-Out Burger restaurant. The shooting claimed the lives of three individuals, while seven others sustained injuries. The town, home to approximately 50,000 residents, was shaken by the violent incident that took place on a Saturday afternoon.

Victims of the Attack

Ashley Garibay, 27, and Christopher Claunch were among those fatally shot. Claunch, affectionately called “Toph,” was dedicated to helping others overcome addiction. He worked at the Renaissance Ranch treatment facility in Rupert, where he had overcome his own challenges with sobriety. Garren Taylor, a family spokesperson, highlighted Claunch’s impact on others, describing him as having a “big open giving heart.” His partner, Teresa Sperry, learned of his passing when authorities visited her home late that night.

In Memoriam of an In-N-Out Worker

An employee of In-N-Out Burger was also killed in the shooting. Lynsi Snyder, the company’s president, expressed sorrow over the loss, emphasizing the victim’s dedication to serving customers. The gunman, identified as Chad Williams, took his own life after the attack, which began on the restaurant’s property.

Details on the Injured

Terry Dudley, a taxi driver, was among those injured. Dudley, who was charging his Tesla as he ended his shift, was shot in the back and neck area. His son, Michael Dudley, recounted how his father remained conscious until paramedics arrived. Initially, imaging suggested minimal damage, but further analysis revealed internal bleeding, necessitating surgery.

James Palmer, Dudley’s employer, expressed the chaos surrounding the event and described Dudley as a vital part of his team. Dudley was airlifted to Boise and remained hospitalized with serious injuries.

Another victim, Austin “A.J.” Scott, faced critical injuries. Marcus Scott, A.J.’s father, shared that his son was wounded while trying to protect others. A.J. Scott, a former law enforcement officer, had rushed toward the gunfire. The family expressed gratitude for his survival, with immediate care provided by those nearby.
