Florida Delivery Driver Scrutinized After Doorbell Camera Incident

A delivery driver is under scrutiny following an incident captured by a doorbell camera. The video, shared by Florida resident Nathan Pekas, shows the driver tossing a package onto a concrete porch. The driver then raises a handheld device to take a delivery photo and walks away, all while a dog howls inside the house.

The package lands audibly on the porch before the driver takes the photo and departs without placing it at the door. Pekas noted that Yun Express, a third-party carrier for some Amazon deliveries, was responsible for delivering the package.

A Ring doorbell camera captured the delivery mishap at a Florida home.

Following the delivery, Pekas shared an image depicting damage to one corner of the package. He expressed surprise at the driver’s actions, joking that Florida’s hot summer might have deterred the extra steps to the door.

Amazon addressed the incident with a statement to Storyful, highlighting that the driver’s behavior does not meet their standards. They confirmed an investigation into the matter.

It’s unclear if the package’s contents suffered damage or if the driver will continue making Amazon deliveries. Fox News Digital has contacted Amazon for further comments.

This incident is the latest package delivery mishap captured on a doorbell camera. Last month, a FedEx driver in Georgia made news after accidentally stepping into a front yard swimming pool while taking a delivery photo. The driver laughed off the incident and resumed deliveries.
