Joe Biden’s Health Struggles Amid Prostate Cancer Battle

3 hours ago 0

Former President Joe Biden is experiencing severe health issues due to the spread of his prostate cancer. His son, Hunter Biden, shared these details during a recent interview with the BBC on Friday.

“The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,” Hunter stated. He described the condition as “very painful and debilitating.” Despite these challenges, Hunter mentioned his father’s unwillingness to complain, saying, “It’s really sad to watch. The only thing that I’d say about my dad, about his health right now, is I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good.”

Even with these health struggles, Joe Biden continues participating in public engagements. His determination to maintain his schedule is notable, although Hunter acknowledges the difficulties he faces. “He’s still doing his thing,” Hunter affirmed.

President Joe Biden, along with his son, attended a public event at the White House in April 2024, showcasing his continued involvement in activities despite his condition.

“He had it while he was president,” commented Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, vice provost and oncologist at the University of Pennsylvania. “He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021.”

Joe Biden revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis in May 2025, not long after leaving office. At the time, the cancer was stage 4 and aggressive, already affecting his bones. He received a Gleason score of 9, reflecting the cancer’s severity and suggesting he had been living with it for several years.

The cancer diagnosis and its progression weren’t sudden, as noted by Emanuel, “He didn’t develop it in the last 100 to 200 days,” he stated in the American Journal of Medical Care.

Jill Biden, Joe’s wife, provided further insight during an appearance on ABC’s “The View.” She acknowledged that the cancer and its treatment have impacted his life. “He keeps his schedule, but he’s slowed down,” she said. “I mean, stage four cancer is — and he’s 83 — so, I think the mix of everything and the medications that he’s taken has made life a little more difficult these days.”

Fox News Digital reached out to the Office of Joe and Jill Biden for more comments on this matter. The situation highlights the enduring public commitment of Joe Biden, even in facing significant health hurdles.
