Restoring a Family’s Cherished Pontiac Firebird

46 minutes ago 0

David Gyuro, at age 29, has a deep connection to his family’s 1970 Pontiac Firebird. As a child, he often rode alongside his father in this cherished car. When given the opportunity in January to call it his own, he eagerly accepted.

Gyuro’s ambition is to restore the car to its former glory, replicating how it looked in a 1978 photo with his high school-aged father perched proudly on its fender. He explains that the car’s value lies not in its rarity or luxury but in its special role within his family’s history.

“It’s not fancy,” Gyuro said. “It’s not rare. … It’s just special because of what it is to me and my family.”
