1 hour ago 0

Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers added another memorable chapter to their on-court rivalry during Dallas’ 91-85 victory over Indiana. The intensity peaked in the final seconds of the first half. With under ten seconds left in the second quarter, Clark had possession while Bueckers guarded her. Bueckers wrapped Clark’s left arm to stop the play, as Dallas had a strategic foul to give.

Clark expressed frustration as Bueckers attempted to complete the foul. In response, Clark threw the ball down the court, sending it near Bueckers’ head. This interaction happened just as the teams headed into the locker room.

A brief exchange followed between the two star players, although microphones did not pick up their words.

Bueckers received a common foul for her actions, and the tension continued into the second half. She later received a technical foul following a dispute with an official after another foul involving Clark in the third quarter.

Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana’s scoreboard with 37 points. Clark topped her team’s assists with nine. On the Dallas side, Arike Ogunbowale had the highest score with 32 points, while Bueckers contributed eight assists.

The previous week, Clark and Bueckers had faced off, each scoring 29 points. Indiana won that matchup 98-87, but Clark acknowledged Bueckers’ impressive performance. During a postgame interview, Clark said, “She’s an incredible player. She challenges us defensively. Paige is extraordinary, always adapting to the defense, and finds her open teammates effortlessly. She’s a tough guard.”
