At a rally in Michigan organized by MAGA Inc., Vice President JD Vance challenged Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed to focus on policy issues instead of targeting Vance’s wife, Usha. Vance stated that Michiganders prefer discussions on public policies that affect them, such as the protection of auto workers, rather than personal attacks.
Vance criticized El-Sayed’s comment regarding Usha Vance’s Indian heritage and suggested that El-Sayed’s message implied certain Americans are “more American” due to their family’s immigration history. Conservative commentator Ryan Girdusky responded to El-Sayed’s statements by suggesting the Democratic nominee labeled rural White Americans as racist.
Earlier, Vance accused El-Sayed of supporting positions that harm Michigan workers, particularly by advocating for illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses. This, Vance argued, could undermine wages for American truck drivers.
Despite differing views on immigration, both Vance and El-Sayed support the use of tariffs to promote American industry. El-Sayed’s campaign did not provide comments when reached by Fox News Digital.
