Tragic Rollover Crash Claims Infant’s Life in South Suburbs

On Sunday evening, a devastating rollover accident occurred on Interstate 57 in the south suburbs of Chicago, resulting in the death of a six-month-old boy. Illinois State Police reported the crash took place around 6 p.m. in Harvey. There were eight individuals in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Seven of them sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The deceased infant resided in the Englewood neighborhood and was pronounced dead at Ingalls Memorial Hospital the same night, as confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. Due to the investigation, northbound traffic on Interstate 57, along with an entrance ramp from 147th Street, remained closed for approximately five hours.
