1 hour ago 0

Senator Jon Husted, a Republican from Ohio, is currently engaged in a tight reelection battle. Recently, his campaign has encountered controversy due to actions by a senior staff member. The political director, a pivotal figure in Husted’s campaign, has come under scrutiny for his social media activity.

It was revealed that this staffer once utilized a photograph of SS soldiers as his Facebook profile picture. Additionally, he added songs celebrating Rhodesia to a public playlist. Rhodesia was a nation governed by a white minority, which is often commemorated by white supremacists. These actions, accessible through public social media channels, have raised significant concerns.

After being approached by The Washington Post regarding this matter, Husted’s campaign promptly decided to sever ties with the political director. This decision aims to address the controversy and refocus the campaign’s energies on the election at hand.
