Wrestling Community Mourns the Loss of Pac

Benjamin Satterley, known in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as Pac and formerly in WWE as Neville, recently passed away. His presence was acknowledged by fellow wrestler Penta during a tag team match on “Monday Night Raw.” Penta had “Pac” emblazoned on his left boot as a tribute.

Penta, along with Je’Von Evans, faced Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh in the match. This gesture coincided with WWE’s tribute graphic to Satterley at the start of “Monday Night Raw.” Satterley passed away a day after competing in an AEW event against Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship.

In a statement, AEW expressed deep sadness over the passing of Satterley. Originating from Newcastle upon Tyne, England, he began his wrestling career in 2004, performing globally and captivating fans with his innovative and high-flying wrestling style. He joined AEW in 2019, becoming a two-time trios champion and the inaugural all-Atlantic champion.

The circumstances surrounding Satterley’s death were not deemed suspicious. According to the Des Plaines Police Department, there were no indications of foul play. He was discovered outside a CAVA restaurant, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office is responsible for determining the cause of death.

Before his AEW tenure, Satterley gained recognition in WWE as Neville. He held titles including two-time cruiserweight champion, NXT champion, and two-time NXT tag team champion. His contributions to wrestling are remembered fondly by the community, fans, and family.
