A tragic shooting at a neighborhood homecoming party in Vienna, Georgia, resulted in two fatalities and 35 injuries. The incident, described as a ‘senseless act of violence,’ began around 1:25 a.m. on Sunday. The celebration spanned four blocks and turned into a scene of chaos.
Dooly County Sheriff Craig Peavy announced at a press conference that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities have not yet made any arrests.
The two individuals who lost their lives have been identified as Ja’Quavion Aderious Jackson, 21, and Macaleb Malik Jackson, 23. The injured include people aged between 14 and 51, with their medical conditions varying from stable to critical, as reported by Sheriff Peavy.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation urges anyone with information to come forward or submit anonymous tips to aid in the investigation.
