Bill Gates Reflects on Regrettable Association with Jeffrey Epstein

2 months ago 0

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates recently shared insights regarding his past interactions with Jeffrey Epstein during an interview with 9News Australia. Gates admitted feeling ‘foolish’ for having spent time with Epstein. He explained, “I met Jeffrey in 2011,” after being questioned by Nine Political Editor Charles Croucher. Over the span of three years, Gates had attended several dinners facilitated by Epstein, who claimed he could leverage his network of wealthy contacts to support global health initiatives. Gates now regards these interactions as a ‘dead end.’ He expressed his regret by stating, “I was foolish to spend time with him. I’m one of many people who regret ever knowing him.”

In recent developments, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has released more than 3 million records related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, which included Epstein’s personal emails. Some of these emails suggest allegations against Gates, including having affairs and attempting to acquire medication for a sexually transmitted infection, allegedly intending to provide it to his then-wife, Melinda French Gates, without her knowledge.

A spokesperson for Gates firmly denied these accusations in a previous statement to Fox News Digital, asserting, “These claims are absolutely absurd and completely false. The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein’s frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame.”

Melinda French Gates addressed these allegations during a recent interview featured on NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast. She shared her perspective, stating, “No girl should ever be put in the situation that they were put in by Epstein and whatever was going on with all of the various people around him — no girl. It’s just beyond heartbreaking.” She expressed personal difficulty with the topic, reflecting on the ages of her daughters and her own past experiences. Despite the challenges, she emphasized that she has moved on, stating, “I’m in a really unexpected, beautiful place in my life. Those questions are for those people and for even my ex-husband.”

When Croucher pressed Gates on the allegations and their veracity, he explained, “Apparently Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That email was never sent; the email is, you know, false. So I don’t know what his thinking was there. Was he trying to attack me in some way? But it just reminds me, every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologize that I did that.”

Regarding why Epstein would make such claims, Gates clarified his interactions, saying, “It’s factually true that I was only at dinners; I never went to the island, and I never met any women, and so, the more that comes out, the clearer it will be, that although the time was a mistake, it had nothing to do with that kind of behavior.”
