Costa Rican authorities are actively searching for a woman suspected of involvement in the homicide of an American citizen. The incident occurred in late September.
The Judicial Investigation Agency, similar to the FBI in Costa Rica, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. The victim, known as ‘Fleming’, was discovered deceased on September 27 at a condominium near the beach.
On the day of the incident, the 74-year-old American man entered a condo in Playas del Coco. This location is a well-known tourist area on Costa Rica’s northern Pacific coast. Authorities reported that the woman was observed leaving the condo without the man.
Surveillance footage released by the Judicial Investigation Agency shows a woman wanted in connection with the crime.
Officials are seeking a woman described as having a fair complexion, slender build, and black hair, standing approximately 1.60 meters tall. During the crime, the woman was reportedly dressed in blue denim shorts, sandals, and a white bra with chain-like accessories. Security footage shows her walking down a street with another woman.
If anyone has information regarding the suspect or incident, they are encouraged to contact the agency at 800-800-0645. The agency urges the public to assist in solving the case.
