Donnie Wahlberg Shares Gratitude After Plane Incident

1 hour ago 0

Donnie Wahlberg expresses surprise that New Kids on the Block Day is still celebrated years after former Massachusetts governor Michael Dukakis recognized it on April 24. Recently, Wahlberg expressed his gratitude after escaping a potential danger during a flight. The private jet carrying him and seven others skid off a runway at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

After performing with New Kids on the Block in Las Vegas, Wahlberg shared on social media about the incident, thanking God and the pilots for their quick actions. “Getting a lot of concerned messages and texts about my flight’s failed attempt at leaving Las Vegas this morning,” he noted. “I appreciate your concern and well wishes.” He explained the situation was intense and lasted longer than expected.

Wahlberg recounted that the plane never took off. “We’re all okay. I’m okay,” he reassured. The aircraft failed to ascend, running out of runway. He noted the skill of the pilots, stating, “I’m just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives… God covered us.” The plane avoided obstacles such as trucks and dumpsters before stopping.

In his video, Wahlberg gave thanks, saying, “God is good,” and praised the emergency team. “By His grace, we are all ok,” he added.

Jenny McCarthy, his wife, responded positively to his post. “God is so good!” she commented. Monika Bertaki, spokesperson for the airport, confirmed the aircraft collided with the perimeter fence but reported no injuries. The incident led to temporary runway closures for inspections, but they reopened the same day.

An air traffic control recording on TikTok revealed the abortive call was followed by emergency response. There is no comment yet from Wahlberg’s representatives.
