Two experienced skydivers lost their lives after colliding in midair over Southern California. Skydive Elsinore, the company that organized the jump, reported the incident. The skydivers initially commenced their descent without any incidents around noon on Friday. However, their parachutes became tangled during the landing phase.
The collision occurred approximately 150 feet above the ground, leading to the entanglement of their parachutes. Upon reaching the ground, both individuals suffered critical injuries. They were transported to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The skydivers, who were visiting from out of town, have not yet been identified. Skydive Elsinore stated there is no evidence of equipment failure and that they are cooperating with local authorities in the investigation.
This story is ongoing, and further details will be provided as they become available.
