President Trump Offers Dana White White House Press Secretary Position

48 minutes ago 0

President Donald Trump announced Saturday that he has offered the position of White House press secretary to Dana White, the longtime leader of the UFC. White is considered one of Trump’s significant allies in the world of professional sports.

In a Truth Social post, Trump expressed his pleasure in making this offer. He described White as a ‘Great’ figure and urged him to accept the job. ‘Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!’ he wrote.

It’s currently unclear if White intends to accept the position.

Trump also mentioned his desire for White to bring several notable mixed martial arts figures as assistants. He specifically named Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, and Amanda Nunes. ‘We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left,’ said Trump.

If White agrees to the offer and is officially appointed, he would become one of the most well-known sports executives in a high-profile federal government communication role. This would signify another shift in a White House press team that has seen rapid turnover.

Katie Zacharia recently vacated the press secretary position on October 16, just five days after her appointment. Her short tenure was marked by only one briefing and was criticized for her performance and background. A permanent replacement had not been announced prior to Trump’s recent statement, although rapper Nicki Minaj was considered a potential candidate by some within the administration.

This announcement follows significant defeats for Republicans in the recent midterm elections. Trump’s administration continues to adapt to these dramatic political shifts.

This news is part of a developing story. More updates will follow as they become available.
