Boston’s New Remote TSA Checkpoint Set to Begin

1 month ago 0

Starting June 1, a groundbreaking pilot program in the Boston area will help passengers avoid the crowded departures terminal and lengthy security lines. On May 19, 2026, the Massachusetts Port Authority announced the country’s initial remote TSA checkpoint site at a dedicated location, designed to streamline the travel process for fliers.

The Massachusetts Port Authority is responsible for the ownership and management of Boston Logan International Airport. This first-of-its-kind initiative allows travelers to book their slots now for the remote security site, which will start its operations at the beginning of next month.

Conveniently stationed at the airport’s remote terminal, customer representatives with Landline will assist at the airline check-in desks. This setup aims to enhance the travel experience by reducing congestion and wait times at one of the busiest airports in the region.

The new service marks a significant step forward in airport management and security processes, promising a smoother and more efficient journey for passengers traveling through Boston Logan.
