Amazon has announced plans to introduce grocery discounts for its U.S. employees who shop at Whole Foods stores owned by the company. These discounts could be as much as 20 percent, allowing workers to save significantly on their grocery expenses.
The decision comes as a response to feedback from employees, emphasizing their need for increased financial support. This initiative is not linked to a recent report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office. The report highlighted a significant rise in the number of Amazon employees relying on food stamps and Medicaid, noting a nearly threefold increase over more than five years.
