Brittany Mahomes has gained attention for her playful social media presence, particularly during her husband’s NFL career. Despite mixed reactions from fans, she has embraced this spirited approach, especially when the Kansas City Chiefs claimed victory over rival teams. Recently, she continued this practice.
On a Sunday night, Brittany shared a series of images of her outfit while attending the Chiefs’ close win against the Las Vegas Raiders, ending 30-27. Her caption referred to Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak’s confident pre-game statement about the Raiders’ potential victory.
“We’re winning. We’re gonna win the game,” she quoted.
At halftime, the Raiders led 13-10. Kubiak expressed optimism in his comments to CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson. However, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was ready for a comeback.
Patrick Mahomes, with crucial plays, led the Chiefs to score three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, surpassing the Raiders 20-14 in that period. Kansas City established the lead with 3:21 remaining. Mahomes found Tyquan Thornton for a decisive 55-yard pass, and Kenneth Walker followed up with a touchdown. Despite Thornton’s injury at this critical moment, the Chiefs persevered. A Raiders fumble on the ensuing kickoff allowed Walker to score again.
The Raiders tried to close the gap with Kirk Cousins’ 20-yard touchdown pass to Brock Bowers. However, even after a Chiefs’ three-and-out, Cousins’ costly interception ended the Raiders’ comeback hopes.
This victory took Kansas City to an undefeated 4-0 record, while Las Vegas dropped to 3-1. Post-game interactions between quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Patrick Mahomes illustrated the sportsmanship despite intense competition.
Reflecting on the game, Mahomes emphasized persistence and teamwork.
“I think you have to stay with it,” he commented. “I keep saying it, but it’s not always going to be pretty. That’s a good football team, a good defense. It’s not going to always be light it up and go out there and scoring 50 points or whatever. It’s if you stay with the process, it’s going to come.”
