Caitlin Clark Leads Indiana Fever to Victory Over Seattle Storm

On Sunday night, Caitlin Clark showcased her efficiency in the Indiana Fever’s win against the Seattle Storm. Clark contributed 21 points with a shooting accuracy of 5-of-10, made all nine of her free-throw attempts, and scored two 3-pointers. This marked a rare occasion since September 19, 2024, where she had 10 or fewer field-goal attempts. During a game against the Washington Mystics in 2024, she shot 2-of-5 from the field in a limited 19 minutes of play.

Clark’s approach in the game against the Storm reflected a strategic shift in her play. She recognized that she didn’t need to take many shots for her team to secure a win. This was evident as she achieved 10 assists, something she hadn’t done since July 13, 2025, in a match versus the Dallas Wings. Her season unfortunately took a downturn shortly after, due to an injury.

“No reason to press. Get my teammates involved,” Clark shared with The Athletic. “Take what the defense gives me. I thought I did a good job of getting to the line, so there’s no need to shoot a bunch of shots. I only played 23 minutes but got to the line nine times… I think that’s an area where I can excel – securing free points.”

Despite Clark leading the scoring with 21 points, her teammates also stepped up. Kelsey Mitchell scored 17 points in 28 minutes, while Sophie Cunningham added 17 points and three rebounds coming off the bench. The team faced the challenge of playing without Aliyah Boston, who was recovering from a lower-leg injury.

The Fever secured their victory with a final score of 89-78. Looking ahead, Indiana is set to face the Portland Fire at home on Tuesday night.
