The San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Brock Purdy, has made a strong impression at the start of the 2026 NFL regular season. As the team began the year with a 3-0 record, Purdy completed 72.3% of his passes for 789 yards. He also scored a league-leading nine touchdowns, with only one interception.
Adding to his achievements, Purdy gained an extra 93 yards and another touchdown on the ground. During Sunday’s Week 3 victory against the Arizona Cardinals, he threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns.
The NFL acknowledged Purdy’s outstanding performance by naming him the NFC Offensive Player of the Month on Thursday. The 49ers celebrated this news with a playful response, stating, “Hit the Dougie one time.”
Purdy’s efforts have positioned the 49ers at the top of the NFC West. They lead the division ahead of the 2-1 Seattle Seahawks, 1-2 Los Angeles Rams, and 1-2 Arizona Cardinals.
Veteran linebacker Fred Warner praised Purdy, saying, “Brock is amazing.” He noted the offense’s high performance and emphasized the defense’s responsibility to maintain their part.
Purdy and the 49ers aim to keep their winning streak in the upcoming Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos.
