Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have become husband and wife. They married on Tuesday in a civil ceremony described as “a private and intimate moment” by the public relations team of the Portuguese soccer star. Their five children attended the ceremony.
The event took place in Cascais, a picturesque coastal town in western Portugal, close to Lisbon. The couple shared a picture on Instagram, featuring their wedding rings. Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been a couple for ten years, having met in Madrid.
At 41, Ronaldo remains one of the most well-known athletes in the world. He recently played in his record-tying sixth World Cup for Portugal. His Saudi team, Al Nassr, is set to begin its domestic season on Saturday.
